{"id":29743,"date":"2018-05-24T02:11:22","date_gmt":"2018-05-23T20:41:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=29743"},"modified":"2018-05-24T02:11:22","modified_gmt":"2018-05-23T20:41:22","slug":"governor-visits-hospital-meets-hods","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/05\/24\/governor-visits-hospital-meets-hods\/","title":{"rendered":"Governor visits hospital, meets HoDs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>PALIN, May 23:<\/strong> Arunachal Pradesh Governor BD Mishra,accompanied by his wife Neelam Mishra,met officials of Kra Daadi district and visited the 50-bedded hospital at Jorung, near here on Wednesday during his ongoing district tour.<br \/>\nMeeting with the district heads of departments (HoDs), the governor exhorted them to put extra efforts for effective implementation of schemes for the benefit of the common man.<br \/>\nThe governor said that the main aim of every official must be to ensure that last person on the last rung of the society is benefited.<br \/>\n&#8220;Nowhere in the world, there are so many developmental projects, schemes and programmes as it is today in India.<br \/>\nIf all these programmes are implemented, there will be prosperity and progress&#8221;, the governor said and advised the officials to reach out to the people and to be field men.<br \/>\nEmphasizing on the success of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the governor urged upon the officials to get involved in the mission.<br \/>\nKra Daadi deputy commissioner Pige Ligu, along with other HoDs, briefed the governor about the developmental programmes, their achievements and challenges in the district.<br \/>\nDuring his visitto the 50-bedded hospital at Jorung, near Palin, the governor interacted with the medical officers, and suggested for short term training for medical officers, including those from allopathy, homeopathy and ayurveda on childcare, labour room management, and particularly delivery.<br \/>\nThe governorreiterated that the people&#8217;s representatives must contribute through the local area development fund in equipping the health facilities with best and latest equipment.<br \/>\nThe hospital, which caters to a population of about 7000, requires X-ray and ultrasound machines, and dental chair.<br \/>\nVisiting various sections of the hospital, the governor was impressed by the power system of the hospital which is entirely solar powered. He also made suggestions for improving the ambience of the facility.<br \/>\nKra Daadi District Medical Officer Dr Higio Tama and Medical Officer in-charge Dr Gimi Tang briefed the governor about the hospital.<br \/>\nThe governor and his wife also distributed fruits to the indoor patients.Meanwhile, Governor Dr BD Mishra, accompanied by his wife Neelam Mishra arrived at Koloriang on Wednesday on a two-day visit to Kurung Kumey district.<br \/>\nWith this district visit, the governor has visited all the 22 districts of the state.<br \/>\nAddressing a public meeting at Koloriang, the governor said that earlier it was &#8216;Look East&#8217; but today it is &#8216;Act East&#8217; and it has resulted in large number of projects coming to the north east region.<br \/>\nStating that road and IT communication are vital for development of Arunachal Pradesh, the governor pleaded to the people to cooperate in the construction of road and laying of cable. He advised them to review the land compensation component and be reasonable wherever land compensation is required.<br \/>\n&#8220;It should be reviewed as a social community responsibility and people must be conscious that it is not for the benefit of the department, agency or the government, but for the benefit of the people&#8221;, he said.<br \/>\nHe advised the people to strengthen the health and education sectors by actively involving in the Swachh Bharat Mission and sending every child above the age of six to school. He also reiterated on rational posting of medical officers and teachers covering rural and urban areas.<br \/>\nThe governor called upon the farmers to experiment with new crops and cash crops to double their income. He said that the great asset of farmers of the state is organic and they must continue the practice.<br \/>\nLocal MLA Pani Taram and Kurung Kumey Deputy Commissioner Kanki Darang briefed the governor about the district and its challenges.<br \/>\nTaram also submitted a four-point agenda, including porter tracks to international border, advance landing ground at Koloriang and model village for the Puroik community.<br \/>\nReroute to Koloriang from Palin, the governor&#8217;s entourage had a briefed halt at Sangram, where he interacted with gaon burahs and PRI members. The governor appealed to them to actively participate in the developmental process. He also shared information regarding army recruitment rallies.
