{"id":29958,"date":"2018-05-26T01:16:49","date_gmt":"2018-05-25T19:46:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=29958"},"modified":"2018-05-26T01:16:49","modified_gmt":"2018-05-25T19:46:49","slug":"women-conduct-drug-eradication-drive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/05\/26\/women-conduct-drug-eradication-drive\/","title":{"rendered":"Women conduct &#8216;drug eradication drive&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Correspondent<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>ROING, May 25:<\/strong> A group of 20 women from Mayu village conducted a surprise &#8216;drug eradication drive&#8217; at the urban model village here on Friday and found six drug abusers, including a peddler.<br \/>\nTwo packets of brown sugar weighing 10.40 gms, a set of rolled 10-rupee notes, a coin studded with pink powder, 10.50 gms of ganja, a portable weighing scale, three lighters, and a scissor were recovered by the women from the group&#8217;s possession.<br \/>\nOn receipt of information, a police team headed by DSP Opir Paron and Inspector Abraham Taying, which was on a similar raid in another area, arrived at the spot.<br \/>\nAll the six culprits, along with the recovered items, were handed over to the police.<br \/>\nThe model village has long been notorious for accommodating drug peddlers, abusers, and antisocial activities.<br \/>\n&#8220;They (antisocial elements) are so noisy that we cannot even sleep at night.
