{"id":32481,"date":"2018-06-16T02:47:20","date_gmt":"2018-06-15T21:17:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=32481"},"modified":"2018-06-16T02:47:20","modified_gmt":"2018-06-15T21:17:20","slug":"apcc-mocks-modis-sbm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/06\/16\/apcc-mocks-modis-sbm\/","title":{"rendered":"APCC mocks Modi&#8217;s SBM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, Jun 15:<\/strong> Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Takam Sanjoy on Friday mocked Prime Minister Narendra Modi&#8217;s Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), stating that the mission that aimed to make the country open defecation-free by 2019, among other things, has failed to make any impact on many, particularly the Indian Railways.<br \/>\nThe APCC cited the example of how the Indian Railways is making the railway tracks dirty by throwing wastes all along the railway tracks.<br \/>\n&#8220;SBM is nothing but showbaji for drawing media attention,&#8221; Sanjoy said. &#8220;The heaps of garbage on the railway tracks reflect the true picture of India and the impact of this mission.&#8221;<br \/>\nHe also ridiculed the claim of the BJP-led government at the Centre that the cleanliness level of India has increased to 84.59%, although it was a dismal 38.7% when the mission was launched on 2 October, 2014.<br \/>\n&#8220;The National Mission for Clean Ganga launched by Modi also proved to be a failure with the holy river still dirty despite crores of rupees having been pumped in to clean it,&#8221; Sanjoy said.<br \/>\n&#8220;&#8216;Swachh Mansik Mission&#8217; is the need of the hour, and this mission should first be applied to the BJP leaders who have been dreaming of a Congress-free India, forgetting that it was the Congress which freed India from British rule,&#8221; the APCC president said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, Jun 15: Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Takam Sanjoy on Friday mocked Prime Minister Narendra Modi&#8217;s Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), stating that the mission that aimed to make the country open defecation-free by 2019, among other things, has failed to make any impact on many, particularly the Indian Railways.
