{"id":3350,"date":"2017-09-27T01:46:38","date_gmt":"2017-09-26T20:16:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=3350"},"modified":"2017-09-27T01:46:38","modified_gmt":"2017-09-26T20:16:38","slug":"1st-catholic-school-completes-25-years-in-arunachal-pradesh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2017\/09\/27\/1st-catholic-school-completes-25-years-in-arunachal-pradesh\/","title":{"rendered":"1st Catholic school completes 25 years in Arunachal Pradesh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>MIAO, Sep. 25:<\/strong> The first Catholic school in the state has completed 25 years of its existence in Arunachal Pradesh, this year.<br \/>\nThe school and hostel were opened on 3rd July, 1992 in Borduria village in Tirap district, the land for which was offered by Wanglat James Lowangcha.<br \/>\nThe silver jubilee of the Catholic school and annual Cultural and Sports Fest of Newman Educational Society (NES), Radiance, was jointly celebrated at Light of the World School, Miao in Changlang district with participation of 550 students from 22 schools.<br \/>\nSpeaking at the inaugural function on September 24, West Khonsa MLA Tirong Aboh lauded the contribution of Christian Missionaries in the field of education in the state.<br \/>\n&#8220;Earlier we used to hunt for good schools in far away places, but today it feels like a good school has walked right into our doorstep&#8221;, said Mungtang Mossang, one of the first to receive Catholic education from the area.<br \/>\nAppreciating Wanglat Lowangcha and family, Bishop George Pallipparambil SDB said, &#8220;They not only donated the land but also provided all the support to set up the school.&#8221;<br \/>\nHighlighting the difficulties that had been faced in initial days, Bishop George also lauded the people of Borduria who made it all possible.<br \/>\nFormer NES student and Gold Medalist from Rajiv Gandhi University, Nepha Wangsa also spoke on the occasion.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MIAO, Sep. 25: The first Catholic school in the state has completed 25 years of its existence in Arunachal Pradesh, this year.
