The participants discussed issues like livelihood programmes, catchment area treatment, bamboo development, doubling of farmers&#8217; income, and road connectivity, all of which will be taken up by the governor at the 67th plenary of the North Eastern Council (NEC).<br \/>\n&#8220;Challenges in the implementation of development programmes must be addressed at the earliest and efforts should be made to ensure that benefits of welfare programmes reach the targeted population,&#8221; he said.<br \/>\nHe said he would propose establishing a research &amp; development institute on bamboo in Arunachal Pradesh during the NEC plenary.
