{"id":37324,"date":"2018-07-21T01:41:55","date_gmt":"2018-07-20T20:11:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=37324"},"modified":"2018-07-21T01:41:55","modified_gmt":"2018-07-20T20:11:55","slug":"workshop-on-critical-examination-of-folktales","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/07\/21\/workshop-on-critical-examination-of-folktales\/","title":{"rendered":"Workshop on &#8216;critical examination of folktales&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<strong>ITANAGAR, Jul 20:<\/strong> A workshop on &#8216;Critical examination and finalization of the folktales of major tribes of Arunachal Pradesh&#8217; was organised here on Thursday.<br \/>\nThe folktales have been prepared by the pedagogy cell of the erstwhile SSA Rajya Mission as &#8216;Orchid&#8217; series, targeting the children of classes 3 to 5, in order to enhance their reading habits and language skills.<br \/>\nEducation Secretary Madhu Rani Teotia in her inaugural address emphasized that the folktales &#8220;should be error-free, contain good morals, and understandable to primary school children.&#8221;<br \/>\nHighlighting the importance of folktales &#8220;as ethnic recognition of each tribe,&#8221; she expressed desire to develop such materials for classes 6 to 8, covering all the major tribes of the state.<br \/>\nThe &#8216;Orchid&#8217; series is to be introduced in the pattern of the series by the same name developed and introduced earlier for the children of classes 1 and 2, in all the primary schools of the state, informed state pedagogy coordinator MB Singh.<br \/>\nISSE: Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan Society&#8217;s deputy state project director Nangram Pingkap said the prime goal of the &#8216;Orchid&#8217; series is to provide opportunity to children to develop the reading habit.<br \/>\n&#8220;The folktales included in the series would help the children to catch up with their imagination, perception and conception in their daily life,&#8221; he said.<br \/>\nNCERT Associate Prof Dr Varada Nikalje, SCERT subject specialist S Pradhan, State Pedagogy &amp; Planning RP Dr AK Mishra, and members of literary and cultural societies of different tribes of the state also attended the workshop.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, Jul 20: A workshop on &#8216;Critical examination and finalization of the folktales of major tribes of Arunachal Pradesh&#8217; was organised here on Thursday.
