{"id":40053,"date":"2018-08-09T01:20:20","date_gmt":"2018-08-08T19:50:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=40053"},"modified":"2018-08-09T01:20:20","modified_gmt":"2018-08-08T19:50:20","slug":"committee-opposes-installation-of-sub-station","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/08\/09\/committee-opposes-installation-of-sub-station\/","title":{"rendered":"Committee opposes installation of sub-station"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, Aug 8<\/strong>: The Lower E-sector of Forest Colony Welfare Committee (LE-SFCWC) has strongly opposed the recent decision of the authorities to install a 33\/11KV sub-station at Indira Gandhi Park central power house here, claiming that it will be in close proximity to a residential area which may put the lives of the people there at risk.<br \/>\nThe committee in separate representations to the parliamentary secretary for UD &amp; Housing &amp; PWD and Chief Engineer (power) transmission, planning &amp; monitoring zone earlier, had appealed to them to initiate urgent steps to ensure that the installation of the said sub-station is stopped and shifted to another location.<br \/>\nIn a release on Wednesday, the committee claimed that despite the repeated objections of the residents of the park colony and the earlier assurance of the authorities to shift the sub-station to another location, the authorities have yet again decided to install it at the same area.<br \/>\n&#8220;On 9 March, 2018, the Capital Complex deputy commissioner issued an order to start the installation work which the residents of the colony strongly opposed.
