{"id":40467,"date":"2018-08-12T02:22:24","date_gmt":"2018-08-11T20:52:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=40467"},"modified":"2018-08-12T02:22:24","modified_gmt":"2018-08-11T20:52:24","slug":"security-beefed-up-for-i-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/08\/12\/security-beefed-up-for-i-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Security beefed up for I-Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<strong>ITANAGAR, Aug 11:<\/strong> The city police have beefed up security measures in the capital complex region in view of the upcoming Independence Day celebration at IG Park on 15 August.<br \/>\nCapital SP M Harsha Vardhan said elaborate security measures have been placed around the capital complex and security personnel have been posted at all check points and gates leading to the capital.<br \/>\nPolice have also increased the frequency in checking hotels and guest houses in order to track down or deter antisocial elements.<br \/>\nSimultaneously, patrolling at sensitive locations from Bandardewa to Hollongi has also been increased, and instances of drinking in public places have also come down, the SP said.<br \/>\nHe also informed that ILP checks are being carried out daily, and that 600 ILP violators have been detected and externed in the last 10 days.<br \/>\nThe SP meanwhile cautioned various groups against taking the law into their hands, and asked them to share information with the police.<br \/>\n&#8220;Only the police and magistrates can conduct ILP checking,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, Aug 11: The city police have beefed up security measures in the capital complex region in view of the upcoming Independence Day celebration at IG Park on 15 August.
