{"id":4309,"date":"2017-10-09T00:23:16","date_gmt":"2017-10-08T18:53:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=4309"},"modified":"2017-10-09T00:23:16","modified_gmt":"2017-10-08T18:53:16","slug":"intensified-mission-indradhanush-campaign-launched","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2017\/10\/09\/intensified-mission-indradhanush-campaign-launched\/","title":{"rendered":"Intensified Mission Indradhanush campaign launched"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>ITANAGAR, Oct 8:<\/strong> Special Secretary Health &amp; Family Welfare and Mission Director of NHM, Dr Tapasya Raghav on Sunday launched the &#8216;Intensified Mission Indradhanush&#8217; (IMI) campaign at Itafort Dispensary here.<br \/>\nThe IMI immunization drive will consist of four rounds of immunization in the 13 identified districts for seven working days for four consecutive months from this month till January 2018.<br \/>\nThe prime objective of the IMI campaign is to accelerate the immunization process to achieve the target of full immunization by 2018.<br \/>\nUnder this health programme, children below two years and pregnant women are vaccinated against vaccine preventable diseases, such as diphtheria, tuberculosis, whooping cough, tetanus, polio, measles, hepatitis-B, etc.<br \/>\nDr Raghav said that the medical teams of 13 identified districts will spend seven days every month so that no child is left unimmunized.<br \/>\nShe sought people&#8217;s cooperation for success of the campaign and appealed to parents to bring their children to the nearest health centre and get them immunized.<br \/>\nState Immunization Officer Dr Dimong Padung said that IMI campaign would be closely monitored at the district, state and central levels at regular intervals.<br \/>\nThe programme was also attended by DHS Dr M Lego, Director Family Welfare Dr K Lego, Joint DHS Dr Allok Yirang, officials from the department and medical team from Itafort Dispensary.<br \/>\nPapum Pare Deputy Commissioner Tai Kaye also launched the immunization campaign in the district by administering polio drops to a child at Primary Health Centre, Chiputa under Doimukh circle on Sunday.<br \/>\nThe Deputy Commissioner along with the district health officials has drawn micro plan to ensure cent percent coverage. ASHAs and Anganwadi workers were involved in head counting so that no child is left unimmunized.<br \/>\nThe Deputy Commissioner asked the health officials, ASHAs and Anganwadi workers to work sincerely to achieve the target set by the government.<br \/>\nDMO Tasso Kampu said that focus will be given in high risk areas, such as urban slums, construction sites and other places, where routine immunization coverage is poor.
