During his lifetime, he served at Apollo Hospital, Maulana Abul Kalam, Max, Batra Hospital, and abroad in Saudi Arabia for five years.<br \/>\nHe leaves behind his wife Dr Simi Ratan, who is presently serving as a professor in the Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), Delhi, son Robin Ratan, who is an engineer, and a daughter Rhea Ratan, who is doing her MBBS at the MAMC, the Ratan Welfare Society (RWS) informed.<br \/>\nThe RWS deeply mourned the untimely demise of Dr Ratan and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.<br \/>\nIt its condolence message, it described Dr Ratan&#8217;s death as an &#8220;irreparable loss to the society and the state as a whole.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, Sep 1: Paediatric specialist surgeon Dr John Ratan passed away at the age of 60 years at AIIMS, Bangalore, on 31 August.
