{"id":43753,"date":"2018-09-04T01:26:52","date_gmt":"2018-09-03T19:56:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=43753"},"modified":"2018-09-04T01:26:52","modified_gmt":"2018-09-03T19:56:52","slug":"governor-calls-for-improving-education-sector","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/09\/04\/governor-calls-for-improving-education-sector\/","title":{"rendered":"Governor calls for improving education sector"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, Sep 3:<\/strong> Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein called on Governor BD Mishra at the Raj Bhavan here on Monday, and the two discussed various developmental issues of the state.<br \/>\nMishra emphasized on improving the education sector of the state, and on speedy collection and distribution of textbooks.<br \/>\nHe advised the DCM to plan in advance for procurement of textbooks for the next academic session, &#8220;so that the needy students receive their books at the beginning of their academic session.&#8221;<br \/>\nAppreciating the DCM for facilitating the commencement of the Sainik School by addressing the departmental land issue, the governor requested him to ensure the state government&#8217;s commitment towards the school.<br \/>\nThe two also discussed the safety of the villagers near the Dollungmukh IAF firing range, and it was emphasized that the standard operating procedure should be meticulously complied with.<br \/>\nMatters related to the Namsai aspirational village, which the governor is scheduled to visit in September, also came up for discussion.<br \/>\nChief Secretary Satya Gopal was also present at the meeting.
