{"id":45371,"date":"2018-09-15T02:12:14","date_gmt":"2018-09-14T20:42:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=45371"},"modified":"2018-09-15T02:12:14","modified_gmt":"2018-09-14T20:42:14","slug":"achom-degio-selected-for-final-squad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/09\/15\/achom-degio-selected-for-final-squad\/","title":{"rendered":"Achom Degio selected for final squad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<strong>ITANAGAR, Sep 14:<\/strong> Achom Degio has been selected for the Indian Junior Women&#8217;s National Football team that will travel to Thimphu, Bhutan, to participate in the SAFF U-18 Women&#8217;s Football Championship, to be held from September 27.<br \/>\nDegio is the second woman footballer from the state, after Techi Amin, to represent the country abroad.<br \/>\nThe football fraternity of the state has expressed elation over her selection in the final squad.<br \/>\n&#8220;Her achievement will definitely motivate many girls that their dream of becoming good players can be accomplished through hard work,&#8221; Arunachal Pradesh Football Association (APFA) secretary Kipa Ajay said.<br \/>\nHe congratulated Kipa Takum and Kipa Bharat &#8211; the chairman and coach of the Capital Complex Football Club, where Achom plays her professional football &#8211; and lauded their work for the betterment of women&#8217;s football in the state.<br \/>\n&#8220;We are glad that the efforts put by our club, especially Kipa Bharat, the head coach of CCFC, started to bear fruits,&#8221; said Takum.<br \/>\nHe expressed hope that the government as well as the corporate houses of the state would extend help to the APFA and the football clubs to achieve more such feats.<br \/>\nAchom is the daughter of Takyang Degio and Mejin Degio, and is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Physical Education at LNIPE (NERC), Guwahati.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, Sep 14: Achom Degio has been selected for the Indian Junior Women&#8217;s National Football team that will travel to Thimphu, Bhutan, to participate in the SAFF U-18 Women&#8217;s Football Championship, to be held from September 27.
