It is a tool to make our life simpler and easier,&#8221; and added that mathematics &#8220;should be embraced by everyone to sharpen their talents.&#8221;<br \/>\nAPSCST Deputy Director P Lombi urged the teachers to motivate their students to take interest in mathematics as they do in other subjects.<br \/>\nTezpur University (Assam) Associate Professor Dr Bhim Prasad Sarmah, who was the resource person, said &#8220;Mathematics is a mother of all science. It makes a man methodical or systematic and helps improve the power of reasoning, creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving ability and effective communication skills.&#8221;<br \/>\nHe described mathematics as &#8220;the cradle of all creations, without which the world cannot move an inch.<br \/>\n&#8220;Everyone needs mathematics in their day-to-day life and even an insect uses mathematics,&#8221; the professor said.<br \/>\nDr Sarmah gave practical demonstration on teaching and learning mathematics in an easy way, and urged the teachers to come up with innovative methods of teaching the subject.<br \/>\nAmong others, Science Centre curator Dr Vivek Kumar and education assistant also Gem Peri spoke.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, Sep 21: Twenty-five teachers from 16 government and private schools participated in a &#8216;teachers&#8217; training workshop on mathematics&#8217; organised by the Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science &amp; Technology (APSCST) at the Science Centre here on Friday.
