{"id":47171,"date":"2018-09-30T02:13:06","date_gmt":"2018-09-29T20:43:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=47171"},"modified":"2018-09-30T02:13:06","modified_gmt":"2018-09-29T20:43:06","slug":"swachhata-rally-taken-out","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/09\/30\/swachhata-rally-taken-out\/","title":{"rendered":"Swachhata rally taken out"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>PANGIN, Sep 29:<\/strong> Hundreds of people including government officials, teachers, students and public participated in a &#8216;swachchata rally&#8217; organized here on Saturday by the Siang district administration in collaboration with the PHE&amp;WS department, under the ongoing &#8216;Swachhata Hi Seva&#8217; campaign.<br \/>\nAddressing the participants, Deputy Commissioner Rajeev Takuk advised them to inculcate the importance of cleanliness in their everyday lives.<br \/>\nPangin PHE&amp;WS EE Subat Pertin gave an overview of the objectives and goals of the campaign, and urged the people to assist the department and the administration in realizing its objectives.<br \/>\nThe rally, which covered the entire township area, culminated at general ground, where all the participants were administered the swachhata pledge by the deputy commissioner.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Cleanliness drives organised<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Kra Daadi district administration also organised a cleanliness drive at the government residential school in Dogio Langpo in Sangram village on Saturday, as part of the &#8216;Swachhta Hi Seva&#8217; campaign.<br \/>\nLed by Deputy Commissioner S Miji, administrative officers, HoDs and others cleared the approach road to the school and cleaned up its campus.<br \/>\nAddressing the students and villagers, the DC said, &#8220;Cleanliness should not be limited only to government-launched campaigns but people should inculcate clean habits for better health and environment.&#8221;<br \/>\nDMO Dr Higio Tama, PHED EE Likha Teki and UD Deputy Director Patey Punung also spoke.<br \/>\nAt Doimukh in Papum Pare district, the weeklong cleanliness drive under the &#8216;Swachchta Hi Seva&#8217; campaign concluded on Saturday.<br \/>\nPapum Pare DC Dr Joram Beda presented Sanitary Workers Awards to the best sanitary workers of the urban development &amp; housing (UDH) department to mark the occasion. The prizes were sponsored by the NEEPCO&#8217;s Pare Hydroelectric Project.<br \/>\nDuring the campaign, which was supervised by the district administration and the UDH department, heavy garbage dumped on the bank of the Pare river was also cleared, and the people were advised to not litter public places and river banks.<br \/>\nGovernment officers, NDRF personnel, GBs, teachers, students, Bazaar Welfare Committee members and members of the public participated in the cleanliness drive despite heavy rain.<br \/>\nIn Pasighat, cleanliness drives were carried out at various places in and around the township under the &#8216;Swachhta Hi Seva&#8217; campaign on Saturday.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, the jawans of G\/186 CRPF there have been carrying out cleanliness drives at the Kendriya Vidyalaya, the Dangoria Baba temple, and the Bodak road as part of the campaign.
