{"id":50398,"date":"2018-10-31T02:20:53","date_gmt":"2018-10-30T20:50:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=50398"},"modified":"2018-10-31T02:20:53","modified_gmt":"2018-10-30T20:50:53","slug":"congress-will-form-next-govt-in-arunachal-says-apcc-president","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/10\/31\/congress-will-form-next-govt-in-arunachal-says-apcc-president\/","title":{"rendered":"Congress will form next govt in Arunachal, says APCC president"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>WAKKA, Oct 30:<\/strong> The Congress party will form the next government in Arunachal Pradesh, said APCC president Takam Sanjoy in his address to the participants at the party&#8217;s rally here in Longding district on Tuesday.<br \/>\nLamenting that &#8220;local youths take to insurgency for want of employment opportunities,&#8221; Sanjoy said once the Congress came to power it would &#8220;offer ceasefire to the underground elements&#8221; to help them lead normal lives.<br \/>\nOn the official warning to stop opium cultivation, Sanjoy announced that under the Congress government&#8217;s scheme, opium cultivation would be legalized like in other states and<br \/>\nthe government would buy the product for medical purposes.<br \/>\nHighlighting genesis of the Congress, he said the party has mostly won from the Ponchau-Wakka assembly constituency.<br \/>\nThe Congress formed the government in 2014 but &#8220;all the MLAs were assured by Prime Minister Narendra Modi of flow of money for which all joined BJP. But it has proved to be the weakest ever government,&#8221; Sanjoy said.<br \/>\n&#8220;Modi&#8217;s policy is breaking the nation, dividing the society, dictating what to eat and what to wear,&#8221; he said, and cautioned the gathering to guard against the BJP.<br \/>\n&#8220;People are facing a tough time in withdrawing their own money from banks since demonetization,&#8221; he said.<br \/>\nHe also urged the people to be aware of &#8220;the BJP masterminding conflict on religious and community line,&#8221; and advocated that tribals should be allowed to live by their own genius.<br \/>\nAmong others, APYC president Geli Ete, APMC vice-president in charge of Tirap, Changlang and Longding Marina Kenglang, APCC vice-president Tachu Hina, and APMC vice-president Chukhu Nachi addressed the gathering.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WAKKA, Oct 30: The Congress party will form the next government in Arunachal Pradesh, said APCC president Takam Sanjoy in his address to the participants at the party&#8217;s rally here in Longding district on Tuesday.
