\nOn the first day of the five-day session, the house also observed two minutes silence as a mark of respect to the departed leaders and resolved to convey condolences to the bereaved families.
\nRecalling the contributions of late Kena, Chief Minister Pema Khandu assured to dedicate an institution in the state in the name of the former Health & Family Welfare minister in recognition to his immense contributions made for the development of the society and state at large.
\nPaying his rich tribute to the departed leader, Pema said late Kena did excellent jobs in various capacities as Parliamentary Secretary and Minister.
\nKena created a history as transport minister, particularly in term of revenue collection, Pema said. As the health and family welfare minister, Kena took up major reform initiatives in health sector, Pema who became emotional while recalling the contributions of former leader said.
\nKena who left us during his peak years of activities as capable leader, would always be remembered for ever for his contributions, the Chief Minister said.
\nIn his obituary to former legislator and Minister late Tadik Chije, the Chief Minister termed him as a down to earth person and a first generation leader.
\nIn his demise, Arunachal lost a seasoned politician, he said adding that late Chije would be remembered for his contributions in the evolution of the state and welfare of the people.
\nPema also paid tribute to late Jully Siji, Ex MLA as a great social worker who initiated many policies and programmes for uplift of Puroik community.
\nEarlier, initiating the obituary reference, Legislative Assembly Speaker T N Thongdok termed late Kena as a charming and amiable personality who had initiated many major reforms and improvement in health sector.
\nLate Jully Siji was the first generation leader of the Puroik community who was instrumental in bringing uplift in Puroik society especially awareness on social issues, the Speaker said.
\nPaying tribute to late Tadik Chije, Thongdok said that late Chije was a seasoned politician and first generation leaders who had contributed a lot for development of the state and prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls.
\nFormer Chief Minister Nabam Tuki, while participating in the obituary reference spoke on his personal association with late Jomde Kena since last two decades. Terming him as a man of hard work who served in various capacities as parliamentary secretary and minister, Tuki said that late Kena would always be remembered for his immense contributions towards development of the society and state.
\nLeader of the Opposition, Takam Pario remembered late Kena as a man of helpful nature who was open to all, while late Siji as a great social worker for the Puroik community who fought against bonded labour and for emancipation of the Puroik society.
\nPario also paid tribute to late Chije and considered him as a veteran politician.
\nDeputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein, Arts & Culture Minister, Dr. Mohesh Chai, Panchayat & RD Minister, Alo Libang, UD Minister Nabam Rebia, Agriculture Minister Wangki Lowang and other members including Gojen Gadi, P D Sona, Japu Deru, Paknga Bage, Gum Tayeng, Wanglin Lowangdong, Jarkar Gamlin, Phosum Khimhun, Thangwang Wangham, Tanga Byaling, Tapang Taloh, Laisam Simai, Karya Bagang, Nyamar Karbak and Rajesh Tacho also participated in the obituary reference.
\nLater, the Speaker adjourned the house for the next day.<\/p>\n
