{"id":51241,"date":"2018-11-07T01:32:01","date_gmt":"2018-11-06T20:02:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=51241"},"modified":"2018-11-07T01:32:01","modified_gmt":"2018-11-06T20:02:01","slug":"trg-in-mushroom-cultivation-imparted-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/11\/07\/trg-in-mushroom-cultivation-imparted-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Trg in mushroom cultivation imparted"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<strong>NAHARLAGUN, Nov 6:<\/strong> Twenty-two mushroom farmers from Naharlagun, Doimukh and Sepa under the banner of NGO Empowerment of Needy participated in a training programme on cultivation of mushroom and production of vermicompost, organised by the Itanagar branch of the CSIR &#8211; North East Institute of Science &amp; Technology (CSIR-NEIST) at G Sector here on Tuesday.<br \/>\nThe CSIR-NEIST branch has extensive facility for imparting training in mushroom cultivation technology.<br \/>\nThe institute&#8217;s senior technical officer, Dr Budhen Ch Baruah highlighted the prospects of mushroom cultivation for self-sustenance and economic benefit.<br \/>\n&#8220;Edible mushroom is also a very good source of Vitamin D,&#8221; he informed, and advised the farmers to cultivate known varieties of mushroom available at the NEIST branch.<br \/>\nA demonstration on preparing mushroom bags was presented during the programme.<br \/>\nDr Baruah also highlighted the hazardous effects of using inorganic fertilizers and pesticides for food-yielding crops, and stressed on the use of vermicompost.<br \/>\nThe participants were later taken to the low-cost mushroom and vermicompost production units at the NEIST campus.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NAHARLAGUN, Nov 6: Twenty-two mushroom farmers from Naharlagun, Doimukh and Sepa under the banner of NGO Empowerment of Needy participated in a training programme on cultivation of mushroom and production of vermicompost, organised by the Itanagar branch of the CSIR &#8211; North East Institute of Science &amp; Technology (CSIR-NEIST) at G Sector here on Tuesday.
