{"id":51242,"date":"2018-11-07T01:32:10","date_gmt":"2018-11-06T20:02:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=51242"},"modified":"2018-11-07T01:32:10","modified_gmt":"2018-11-06T20:02:10","slug":"workshop-on-tds-organised","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/11\/07\/workshop-on-tds-organised\/","title":{"rendered":"Workshop on TDS organised"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>TEZU, Nov 6:<\/strong> Drawing and disbursing officers (DDO), accountants, data operators and dealing assistants participated in a workshop on &#8216;TDS under GST&#8217;, organised here by the Lohit district tax &amp; excise department on Tuesday.<br \/>\nTax &amp; Excise Superintendent (in-charge) Damchen Norbu urged the DDOs to follow the government&#8217;s instruction to implement the objective of &#8216;One nation one tax&#8217;, saying several DDOs in the district are yet to register under the GST.<br \/>\n&#8220;As per the government directive, every DDO is required to register under the GST, and TDS is a mandatory part of DDOs from 1 October, 2018,&#8221; he said.<br \/>\n&#8220;All DDOs should file TDS every succeeding month, before the tenth day of the month, failing which penalty, interest and late fee will be realized from the DDOs concerned,&#8221; he said.<br \/>\nSDO Kajal Karmakar requested the DDOs and officials to learn the technicalities during the workshop and maintain the timeframe set by the government on TDS on GST.<br \/>\nTax &amp; Excise Inspector Luvjoy Choker clarified on issues raised by the participants.
