{"id":51988,"date":"2018-11-20T00:15:03","date_gmt":"2018-11-19T18:45:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=51988"},"modified":"2018-11-20T00:15:03","modified_gmt":"2018-11-19T18:45:03","slug":"ata-highlights-shortage-of-teachers-in-eastern-arunachal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/11\/20\/ata-highlights-shortage-of-teachers-in-eastern-arunachal\/","title":{"rendered":"ATA highlights shortage of teachers in eastern Arunachal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, Nov 19:<\/strong> The Arunachal Teachers&#8217; Association (ATA) on Monday reported that there is acute shortage of teachers at the upper primary and secondary schools in eastern Arunachal.<br \/>\nAn ATA team recently undertook a weeklong tour of seven districts &#8211; Longding, Tirap, Changlang, Namsai, Lohit, Lower Dibang Valley and East Siang &#8211; to take stock of the problems being faced by the teachers there.<br \/>\nIt informed that some of the senior secondary schools are confused regarding the CBSE norms and the state government&#8217;s cabinet decision for &#8220;implementation of the pre-board (class 10 and class 12) and its criteria like 33% pass mark in each subject and 80 percent mandatory attendance to appear for the final board exam.&#8221;<br \/>\nIt said no such criteria are mentioned in the CBSE byelaws.<br \/>\n&#8220;The teachers are in doubt about its authenticity since there is no such notification issued from the government of India and Arunachal Pradesh,&#8221; the ATA stated in a release, and urged the government to look into the matter.<br \/>\nThe ATA also said it has conducted its district federal unit meetings in the seven districts and revived the defunct units in many districts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, Nov 19: The Arunachal Teachers&#8217; Association (ATA) on Monday reported that there is acute shortage of teachers at the upper primary and secondary schools in eastern Arunachal.
