{"id":52147,"date":"2018-11-23T00:14:16","date_gmt":"2018-11-22T18:44:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=52147"},"modified":"2018-11-23T00:14:16","modified_gmt":"2018-11-22T18:44:16","slug":"mla-urges-villagers-not-to-migrate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/11\/23\/mla-urges-villagers-not-to-migrate\/","title":{"rendered":"MLA urges villagers not to migrate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>PENI, Nov 22:<\/strong> Yachuli MLA Likha Saaya on Thursday urged villagers not to migrate from their villages to the capital city.<br \/>\nHe said this after inaugurating a cement concrete (CC) road in Peni village in Lower Subansiri district.<br \/>\n&#8220;When other people are looking for peace in villages, why are our people more inclined towards city life?&#8221; he wondered. &#8220;If the villagers and today&#8217;s youths don&#8217;t prefer to settle in villages, how can there be any development works?&#8221;<br \/>\nSaaya added that the state government is more inclined towards developing infrastructure in the rural areas.<br \/>\nSharing his vision to provide better education, medical facilities and living standard to the villagers, the MLA assured to have a model school established in Peni soon.<br \/>\n&#8220;Education is more relevant than indulging in organizational or union activities,&#8221; Saaya said, and advised the youths of his constituency to be dedicated to their studies.<br \/>\nHe said once better education, healthcare and communication are established, &#8220;our constituency and its people will have the best life ever.&#8221;<br \/>\nThe MLA assured to look into the memorandum submitted by the All Peni Welfare Association, seeking extension of the CC road by about five kilometres, and construction of a multipurpose hall in the village.<br \/>\nThe programme was attended also by advocate Likha Tabo, state BJYM general secretary Joram Tat, former ZPM Joram Yania, former ACP Nabam Piju, and others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PENI, Nov 22: Yachuli MLA Likha Saaya on Thursday urged villagers not to migrate from their villages to the capital city.
