We need strong political and social will to bring in the desired changes in the education system,&#8221; Mein said addressing the commemoration programme of the 57th year of Government Higher Secondary School, Kimin in Papum Pare district on Saturday.<br \/>\nHe said that ever since the recruitment ratio of 80:20 was introduced in the state, majority of the teachers recruited had been Arunachalees.<br \/>\n&#8220;They have a great responsibility to mould the future of the students by imparting quality education,&#8221; Mein said.<br \/>\nMein hailed the pioneers and the land donors of the school. Because of their sacrifice and farsightedness, the present generation of the area could see the light of education, he said.<br \/>\nHe urged the alumni to pay back to the school and the society they have come from and help build a healthy future of the state in whatever manner they can.<br \/>\nResponding to a memorandum, the deputy chief minister assured to look into the proposal for introduction of science and commerce streams at GHSS, Kimin and other demands, such as an auditorium and principal&#8217;s quarter.<br \/>\nEarlier, the DCM unveiled the commemoration stone of the 57th glorious years of GHSS, Kimin inscribed with the names of land donors.<br \/>\nSpeaking on the occasion, Environment &amp; Forest Minister Nabam Rebia said the school has produced many bureaucrats, doctors, engineers, politicians and officers.<br \/>\nHe also urged the educated youths of the state to try to become employers rather than employees.
