They launched sporadic attack, but had never posed threat to Arunachal.<br \/>\nDeputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, who attended the opening ceremony, said the sportspersons of the state will perform well at the highest level, if they are provided with the required facilities.<br \/>\n&#8220;There is no dearth of sports talents in Arunachal. What they need is proper training and guidance,&#8221; Mein said.<br \/>\nHe said that sportspersons of the state can win medals at international level events, if they are backed by proper infrastructure and coaching facilities,&#8221; Mein said.<br \/>\nStating that the junior players of the state are doing exceptionally well in national and international level events, Mein said the government is giving priority on developing sports infrastructure and grooming the budding players.<br \/>\nMinister Sports &amp; Youth Affairs Mohesh Chai, MLA PD Sona, Competition Manager of AIFF Rahul Paresar, Secretary Sports &amp; Youth Affairs Dani Sulu, Chairman Sports Authority of Aruanchal (SAA), Bamang Tago, Vice Chairman (SAA) Nich Doni, members of Arunachal Pradesh Football Association were also present.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, Odisha beat Tamil Nadu 3-0 in the second match, which was played under floodlights.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sportspersons needs facilities: Mein Hero Sub Junior NFC begins Staff Reporter NAHARLAGUN, Dec 2: Arunachal colts pipped Maharashtra 1-0 in the opening match of the Hero Sub-Junior National Football Championship (NFC) at RG Stadium here on Sunday.
