{"id":54661,"date":"2018-12-14T00:17:01","date_gmt":"2018-12-13T18:47:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=54661"},"modified":"2018-12-14T00:17:01","modified_gmt":"2018-12-13T18:47:01","slug":"youths-detect-illegal-activities-carried-out-in-protected-forest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/12\/14\/youths-detect-illegal-activities-carried-out-in-protected-forest\/","title":{"rendered":"Youths detect illegal activities carried out in protected forest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, Dec 13:<\/strong> Members of the Poma Rillo Moin Youth Welfare Society (PRMYWS) and the Ganga Youth Club (GYC) conducted a survey of the forest area around Poma panchayat from 10-12 December in order to detect if illegal activities had been carried out there.<br \/>\nThe survey was conducted in view of the growing concern over outsiders illegally trespassing into the traditional village land to collect natural resources and indulge in hunting.<br \/>\nIn a release, the organisations informed that during the survey they found shelter houses constructed by hunters in several areas deep in the forest. They said they dismantled the shelters and put up a signboard warning people to keep away from such activities.<br \/>\nExpressing concern over such illegal activities, the PRMYWS and the GYC have requested the forest department to undertake patrolling in the area.
