{"id":54865,"date":"2018-12-16T02:13:41","date_gmt":"2018-12-15T20:43:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=54865"},"modified":"2018-12-16T02:13:41","modified_gmt":"2018-12-15T20:43:41","slug":"workshop-on-legal-metrology-laws-held","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/12\/16\/workshop-on-legal-metrology-laws-held\/","title":{"rendered":"Workshop on legal metrology laws held"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>NAHARLAGUN, Dec 15:<\/strong> Enforcement officers of the legal metrology department participated in a seminar-cum-workshop on &#8216;legal metrology laws&#8217; in the department&#8217;s conference hall here on Friday.<br \/>\nDuring the seminar, Ranchi (Jharkhand)-based Indian Institute of Legal Metrology&#8217;s (IILM) Director Rajeshwar Kumar made a PowerPoint presentation and cleared the doubts of the participants. He advised the department&#8217;s senior officers to take short-term special courses at the IILM to update their knowledge.<br \/>\nKumar also advised the metrology department to gear up its enforcement activities, saying it is one of the criteria in the process of awarding ISO certification.<br \/>\nGuwahati (Assam)-based Regional Reference Standard Laboratory&#8217;s Deputy Director MK Naik presented a brief on verification and maintenance of the secondary standard laboratory of the department, and emphasized on accreditation of the laboratory, &#8220;so as to generate confidence of both consumers and commercial establishments.&#8221;<br \/>\nACLM Taba Tabing made a PowerPoint presentation on the awareness programmes being organized regularly for the state&#8217;s consumers.<br \/>\nEarlier, Legal Metrology &amp; Consumer Affairs (LMCA) Controller Hoktum Ori advised the participants to gain maximum knowledge from the resource persons of the programme.<br \/>\nLMCA Assistant Controller (Aalo) Jomba Kamgo Lobom and Pasighat LMCA Inspector Lupha Sikhet were felicitated with certificates of appreciation and mementoes for their achievements in revenue generation from 2015-&#8217;16 to 2017-&#8217;18.<br \/>\nThe seminar was followed by a &#8216;field visit training programme&#8217; on Saturday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NAHARLAGUN, Dec 15: Enforcement officers of the legal metrology department participated in a seminar-cum-workshop on &#8216;legal metrology laws&#8217; in the department&#8217;s conference hall here on Friday.
