{"id":55073,"date":"2018-12-18T01:45:28","date_gmt":"2018-12-17T20:15:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=55073"},"modified":"2018-12-18T01:45:30","modified_gmt":"2018-12-17T20:15:30","slug":"jhpc-holds-meeting-on-prc-issue-in-changlang","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/12\/18\/jhpc-holds-meeting-on-prc-issue-in-changlang\/","title":{"rendered":"JHPC holds meeting on PRC issue in Changlang"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>CHANGLANG, Dec 17:<\/strong> The joint high power committee (JHPC) on the PRC issue on Monday held a meeting here with the indigenous people and non-APSTs settled in Changlang district to take opinions from them on the issue of granting PRCs to non-APST communities residing in the state.<br \/>\nAddressing the meeting, JHPC chairman Nabam Rebia reiterated that &#8220;the sentiment and interests of the indigenous people will be taken care of while solving the PRC issue, taking their views.&#8221;<br \/>\nRebia, who is also the Environment &amp; Forests Minister, invited suggestions from the members of both the parties to find a mechanism collectively, &#8220;so that it will not affect both the communities in the future.&#8221;<br \/>\nRepresentative of the Gorkha, Deori, Ahom and Sonowal Kachari communities, the Changlang District Students&#8217; Union, the Tangsa Students&#8217; Union, the TCL People&#8217;s Forum, and the Singpho Youth and Tutsa Welfare Society attended the meeting.<br \/>\nThey took part in the discussions and shared their views and suggestions before the visiting team.<br \/>\nState PPA CWC chairman Kamen Ringu, AAPSU president Hawa Bagang and AAPSU general secretary Tobom Dai also spoke.<br \/>\nRepresentatives of various non-APST communities also submitted memorandums to the JPHC.<br \/>\nEarlier, the JHPC team visited Vijaynagar circle and heard the views of the ex-servicemen settlers and the Lisus there on granting of PRCs to the non-APST communities residing in the circle.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CHANGLANG, Dec 17: The joint high power committee (JHPC) on the PRC issue on Monday held a meeting here with the indigenous people and non-APSTs settled in Changlang district to take opinions from them on the issue of granting PRCs to non-APST communities residing in the state.
