{"id":55680,"date":"2018-12-24T01:37:46","date_gmt":"2018-12-23T20:07:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=55680"},"modified":"2018-12-24T01:37:50","modified_gmt":"2018-12-23T20:07:50","slug":"explosives-recovered-from-nscn-ogws","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/12\/24\/explosives-recovered-from-nscn-ogws\/","title":{"rendered":"Explosives recovered from NSCN OGWs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>NAMDANG, Dec 23:<\/strong> Personnel of the Assam Rifles (AR) and the police in Margherita apprehended two over-ground workers (OGW) of the NSCN from here in Changlang district on 22 and 23 December, and recovered explosives from their possession.<br \/>\nThe OGWs, identified as Ravi Kumar Paswan (29), a resident of Longpha Basti in Changlang district, and Kena Pangtok (19), a resident of Phangsum Basti, Changlang, were apprehended during a joint operation of the police and the AR, the Kohima-based defence PRO informed.<br \/>\nOne motorcycle and two mobile phones were immediately recovered from the OGWs.<br \/>\n&#8220;However, on further investigation, it emerged that the duo had been tasked by the proscribed outfit to hide high explosives in a forest near Namdang,&#8221; the PRO said.<br \/>\nA search was carried out, &#8220;and six slabs of trinitrotoluene (TNT), 800 grams of gunpowder, 600 grams of RDX, four metres of safety fuse, and three detonators were found,&#8221; it said.<br \/>\nThe OGWs were handed over to the police station in Margherita, where an FIR under Section UP (A) 10\/12 was lodged, it said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NAMDANG, Dec 23: Personnel of the Assam Rifles (AR) and the police in Margherita apprehended two over-ground workers (OGW) of the NSCN from here in Changlang district on 22 and 23 December, and recovered explosives from their possession.
