{"id":5785,"date":"2017-10-19T01:56:29","date_gmt":"2017-10-18T20:26:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=5785"},"modified":"2017-10-19T01:56:29","modified_gmt":"2017-10-18T20:26:29","slug":"org-opposes-govt-decision-on-trihms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2017\/10\/19\/org-opposes-govt-decision-on-trihms\/","title":{"rendered":"Org opposes govt decision on TRIHMS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, Oct 18:<\/strong> Strongly opposing the state government&#8217;s decision of handing over the administration of Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) to a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), the Green Arunachal Foundation (GAF) said that that it would launch an agitation if the government fails to roll back the decision.<br \/>\nCondemning the move of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh under Chief Minister Pema Khandu, the GAF in a press communiqu\u00e9 expressed strong reservations over the state government&#8217;s decision to hand over the administration of TRIHMS to a private enterprise<br \/>\nGAF Chairman Takam Tatung said, &#8220;It is condemnable that the state government is entrusting the state hospital to private hands without proper debate, discussion and consent of the people&#8221;.<br \/>\nTatung also viewed that about 80 percent of the educational institutions in the state have been entrusted to private establishments which has affected the quality of education to a great extent.<br \/>\n&#8220;Now, the present state government is planning to sell out the health sector&#8221;, he added.<br \/>\nAsserting that this &#8220;arbitrary&#8221; and &#8220;dictatorial&#8221; attitude of the government would not be tolerated, Tatung said that the GAF would press for the introduction of President&#8217;s Rule if the state government continues with its arbitrary programmes.<br \/>\nThe GAF has also urged the state government to re-start the Chief Minister&#8217;s Health Insurance Scheme introduced by former Chief Minister Nabam Tuki.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, Oct 18: Strongly opposing the state government&#8217;s decision of handing over the administration of Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) to a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), the Green Arunachal Foundation (GAF) said that that it would launch an agitation if the government fails to roll back the decision.
