{"id":58296,"date":"2019-01-25T01:02:38","date_gmt":"2019-01-24T19:32:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=58296"},"modified":"2019-01-25T01:02:38","modified_gmt":"2019-01-24T19:32:38","slug":"dc-seeks-unified-effort-in-mp-implementation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/01\/25\/dc-seeks-unified-effort-in-mp-implementation\/","title":{"rendered":"DC seeks unified effort in MP implementation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<strong>ZIRO, Jan 24:<\/strong> Lower Subansiri Deputy Commissioner Chukhu Takar on Thursday called for unified effort from all stakeholders to ensure the success of Mission Pratiraksha (MP) in the district.<br \/>\nAddressing a district task force meeting on MP at Gyati Takka General Hospital here, the DC requested the DMO and the DRCHO to ensure accurate data collection by the ground-level workers.<br \/>\n&#8220;Such programmes, which involve the health and the safety of the people, should be taken seriously and all measures adopted to avoid any lapses,&#8221; the DC said.<br \/>\nThe performance of the third round of MP was reviewed during the meeting. The third round witnessed coverage of 91.11%, and the left-out people will be covered during the fourth round of immunization.<br \/>\nTakar assured all support from the district administration in ensuring 100% immunization coverage in the district.<br \/>\n&#8220;More awareness towards vaccination programmes and motivating the people will help us achieve our target,&#8221; he said.<br \/>\nDRCHO Dr Derin Likar presented the micro-plan for the third round of MP, and informed that 13 left-out children between 0-2 years scattered across the district would be targeted for immunization.<br \/>\nThe task force also discussed the district&#8217;s plan for this year&#8217;s Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI).<br \/>\nDescribing the IPPI as &#8220;a very vital programme,&#8221; Dr Tage Kano said although India was declared polio-free in 2014, &#8220;there is always a probability of the polio virus being transmitted from neighbouring countries like Pakistan and Afghanistan were polio still prevails.&#8221;<br \/>\nLater, the DC along with ADC Gombu Tsering inspected the hospital&#8217;s premises.<br \/>\nEAC (TPT) Hage Tarung, task force members, and medical staff attended the meeting.
