{"id":58620,"date":"2019-01-29T01:18:53","date_gmt":"2019-01-28T19:48:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=58620"},"modified":"2019-01-29T01:20:31","modified_gmt":"2019-01-28T19:50:31","slug":"cm-inspects-schools-facilities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/01\/29\/cm-inspects-schools-facilities\/","title":{"rendered":"CM inspects schools\u2019 facilities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>LUMLA, Jan 28:<\/strong> Chief Minister Pema Khandu visited several educational institutes here in Tawang district on Monday and interacted with the staffs and students.<br \/>\nThe chief minister, who was accompanied by MoS for Home Kiren Rijiju and local MLA Jambey Tashi, visited the Eklavya model residential school here, run by the Art of Living, and inspected the classrooms, library, smart classrooms, dormitory, gym, etc.<br \/>\nHe later felicitated the students of the school who excelled in academics and sports.<br \/>\nDuring his visit to the Jhamtse Gatsal children&#8217;s community, the chief minister said, &#8220;It&#8217;s a great pleasure to visit Jhamtse Gatsal, also known as the &#8216;garden of love and compassion&#8217;, which is the first of its kind in entire India where children are taught to be good human beings.&#8221;<br \/>\nPema thanked Lobsang Phuntsok, a Buddhist monk from Tawang district, for bringing<br \/>\nhis vast experience to improve the lives of people through the practice of love and compassion.<br \/>\nEarlier, the chief minister inspected the facilities around the school campus. He visited the family housing, the community bathhouse, the classrooms, the multipurpose rooms, the school office building, the family kitchen, and the vermi-composting site.<br \/>\nPema also inspected the recycling programme pioneered by the school, and the cottages built mostly out of readily available materials such as sand, clay and straw. He inspected the new teaching methods pioneered by Phuntsok, in which a classroom has been turned into a fun place to learn by avoiding the usual desk-bench learning environment.<br \/>\nEarlier in the day, the chief minister inaugurated a tourist park in Mangnam village, developed by a local entrepreneur.
