{"id":59034,"date":"2019-02-03T01:54:43","date_gmt":"2019-02-02T20:24:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=59034"},"modified":"2019-02-03T01:54:43","modified_gmt":"2019-02-02T20:24:43","slug":"entrepreneurship-dev-prog-underway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/02\/03\/entrepreneurship-dev-prog-underway\/","title":{"rendered":"Entrepreneurship dev prog underway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<strong>PASIGHAT, Feb 2:<\/strong> Thirty selected youths are taking part in a month-long entrepreneurship development programme which got underway at Jawaharlal Nehru College here in East Siang district on 23 January.<br \/>\nThe programme is being organized by the college&#8217;s science and technology department in association with Guwahati (Assam)-based Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship.<br \/>\nAddressing the trainees, Industries Assistant Director T Megu briefed them on the schemes and benefits available for entrepreneurs, while retired IAF group captain and proprietor of Elam Industries, M Panging, conducted a session on the scope for entrepreneurship in Arunachal.<br \/>\nEntrepreneurs Ainy Taloh and O Sitang also spoke.<br \/>\nNeera Sarmah from Tezpur (Assam) imparted training on how to make eco-friendly, attractive, low-cost and profitable jewellery items from bamboo, while Central Agricultural University Dean Dr BN Hazarika spoke on the scope of entrepreneurship using underutilized fruits available in Arunachal.<br \/>\nDr SD Chaudhury conducted a session on soft skills, P Baruah from Guwahati conducted a session on craft-making, and Ratul Das from IIE, Guwahati, took a class on &#8216;the important elements of an entrepreneur&#8217;.<br \/>\nThe trainees were also informed about the schemes and opportunities on MSME, besides various aspects of pickle-making based on locally available ingredients, etc.<br \/>\nThe trainees will also be taken on a market survey in Pasighat market, besides visiting Elam Industries and the mushroom cultivation centre of O Sitang in Mirsam village.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PASIGHAT, Feb 2: Thirty selected youths are taking part in a month-long entrepreneurship development programme which got underway at Jawaharlal Nehru College here in East Siang district on 23 January.
