{"id":59376,"date":"2019-02-06T02:30:51","date_gmt":"2019-02-05T21:00:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=59376"},"modified":"2019-02-06T02:30:51","modified_gmt":"2019-02-05T21:00:51","slug":"aapsu-urges-people-to-come-out-against-cab","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/02\/06\/aapsu-urges-people-to-come-out-against-cab\/","title":{"rendered":"AAPSU urges people to come out against CAB"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>NAHARLAGUN, Feb 5:<\/strong> The All Arunachal Pradesh Students&#8217; Union (AAPSU) has urged the people of the state, irrespective of their political affiliations, to come out against the citizenship amendment bill (CAB), saying it is &#8220;against the interests of the indigenous people of Arunachal and other NE states.&#8221;<br \/>\nTalking to media persons, AAPSU general secretary Tobom Dai said, &#8220;The bill may be brought to the Rajya Sabha during the current session of parliament by the BJP, bulldozing all protests and our sentiments.&#8221;<br \/>\nHe added that &#8220;our fight will continue if it is passed in the Rajya Sabha too.&#8221;<br \/>\nDai informed that the AAPSU is planning to meet the prime minister during his visit to Arunachal and submit a memorandum in this regard.<br \/>\nHe further said, &#8220;Chief Minister Pema Khandu should understand the sentiments of the indigenous people of the state and apprise the Centre of the opinion expressed by the people of state on the CAB.&#8221;<br \/>\nAAPSU vice president Mije Taku said, &#8220;We met leaders of various political parties, like the TMC, the Shiv Sena, the JD (U) and the BSP, and apprised them of our sentiments on the CAB.
