{"id":60742,"date":"2019-02-19T02:14:54","date_gmt":"2019-02-18T20:44:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=60742"},"modified":"2019-02-19T02:14:54","modified_gmt":"2019-02-18T20:44:54","slug":"bridge-load-test-conducted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/02\/19\/bridge-load-test-conducted\/","title":{"rendered":"Bridge load test conducted"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>PALIN, Feb 18:<\/strong> Two earthmovers, weighing 20 metric tons each, were made to cross the steel suspension Bailey bridge over the Kumey river on the Yangte-Tali road in Kra Daadi district on Sunday to test the load bearing capacity of the bridge.<br \/>\nThe 97-metre-long bridge, which was constructed under the supervision of the Tali PWD division, will eliminate the communication gap with Tali ADC headquarters.<br \/>\nKra Daadi Deputy Commissioner S Miji, who witnessed the load-testing, also drove across the bridge, along with a team of officials.<br \/>\nPWD EE Bamang Raju informed the DC that 95 percent of the formation-cutting work for the 12 km road from the bridge to Tali has been completed.<br \/>\nHowever, the EE said, the road will not be fit for travelling during the rainy season &#8220;as fund has been sanctioned only for the formation-cutting.&#8221;<br \/>\n&#8220;The 40 km road from Yangte to the bridge will also be not suitable for travelling during the rainy season due to poor alignment,&#8221; he added.<br \/>\nMiji also inspected some of the polling stations and took stock of the security arrangements.<br \/>\nThe DC was accompanied by, among others, ADC (HQ) Millo Kojin, Tali ADC Biaro Sorum, DDA Tana Teti, and EAC Bamin Tarang.
