{"id":60855,"date":"2019-02-20T02:11:13","date_gmt":"2019-02-19T20:41:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=60855"},"modified":"2019-02-20T02:11:13","modified_gmt":"2019-02-19T20:41:13","slug":"farmers-undergo-dairy-training","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/02\/20\/farmers-undergo-dairy-training\/","title":{"rendered":"Farmers undergo dairy training"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>JIA, Feb 19:<\/strong> Altogether 25 farmers and farmwomen from different SHGs and the Jia Sanggo Dairy Cooperative Society participated in a dairy training programme organised here by the Lower Dibang Valley KVK on Tuesday.<br \/>\nThe programme was aimed at creating awareness among the participants about dairy farming and its benefits.<br \/>\nKVK Head Dr TJ Ramesha highlighted the activities of the kendra, and urged the participants to take up dairy farming, adopting scientific management practices for higher economic returns.<br \/>\nAnimal science scientist Dr Aniyang Lego highlighted the veterinary department&#8217;s livestock schemes and dairy farming methods, and imparted training in fodder cultivation to reduce operational cost.<br \/>\nLego emphasized on the value of dairy products like curd, cheese, butter, ghee, lassi, etc, as additional income source for SHGs.<br \/>\nProgressive farmwoman Oimang Lego shared her experience of scientific farming of poultry and rabbits.<br \/>\nThe participants were later taken on a visit to a small-scale dairy farm where pregnancy detection in dairy cattle and on-farm advisory were demonstrated.<br \/>\nFodder root slips were also distributed to the participants to motivate them to take up scientific farming.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JIA, Feb 19: Altogether 25 farmers and farmwomen from different SHGs and the Jia Sanggo Dairy Cooperative Society participated in a dairy training programme organised here by the Lower Dibang Valley KVK on Tuesday.
