{"id":61172,"date":"2019-03-01T11:22:45","date_gmt":"2019-03-01T05:52:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=61172"},"modified":"2019-03-01T11:22:45","modified_gmt":"2019-03-01T05:52:45","slug":"dt-vaccine-to-replace-tt-vaccine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/03\/01\/dt-vaccine-to-replace-tt-vaccine\/","title":{"rendered":"DT vaccine to replace TT vaccine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ZIRO, Feb 28<\/strong>: The Lower Subansiri District Task Force on Immunization held a meeting here on Thursday to discuss methods to strengthen the regular immunization micro-planning, and introduction of the Adult DT (diphtheria-tetanus) vaccine that will replace the TT vaccine.<br \/>\nChairing the meeting, ADC Gombu Tsering called for &#8220;accurate data collection at the grassroots level for optimal micro-plans.&#8221;<br \/>\nHe emphasized the need for coordination among the ASHAs, anganwadi workers, panchayat members and GBs for generating an error- and duplicity-free database.<br \/>\nTsering also emphasized the need for building the capacity of the frontline workers, conducting regular review meetings, and ensuring supportive supervision for mid-course corrections.<br \/>\n&#8220;As per the directives of the health &amp; family welfare ministry, the TT vaccine will be replaced by DT vaccines,&#8221; informed DRCHO Dr Derin Likar.<br \/>\nExplaining the newly-introduced DT vaccines, he said Arunachal Pradesh would be the first state in the country to prepare a regular immunization micro-plan, with the support of the WHO-NPSP.<br \/>\nThis, he said, would go a long way in preparing an effective micro-plan and create opportunities for monitoring and supervision.<br \/>\nThe meeting was attended by, among others, DMO Dr Tage Kano and Medical Superintendent Dr Kime Horming.
