{"id":61645,"date":"2019-03-06T01:55:40","date_gmt":"2019-03-05T20:25:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=61645"},"modified":"2019-03-06T01:55:40","modified_gmt":"2019-03-05T20:25:40","slug":"arunachal-reap-rich-haul-of-medals-in-taekwondo-cship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/03\/06\/arunachal-reap-rich-haul-of-medals-in-taekwondo-cship\/","title":{"rendered":"Arunachal reap rich haul of medals in Taekwondo c&#8217;ship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<strong>ITANAGAR, Mar 5:<\/strong> The state Taekwondo team bagged a rich haul of medals at the just-concluded 35th National Sub-junior Kyorugi &amp; Poomsae Taekwondo Championship and the 4th National Cadet Kyorugi &amp; Poomsae Taekwondo Championship at Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.<br \/>\nThe team returned with nine gold, five silver and seven bronze medals from the championship.<br \/>\nNotably, more than half of the total medals were bagged by the students of the Sangay Lhaden Sports Academy (SLSA), Chimpu.<br \/>\nLimi Riram, Kabak Saka, Chaka Tayu, Tam Kaja, all from the SLSA, and Khinsen Wangsu, Shambu Biswakarma and Tarh Lalum bagged a gold medal each in individual events in their respective age and weight categories.<br \/>\nThe trio of Roti Baki, Lumter Uli and Ampo Apum, also from the same academy, bagged a gold medal in Group Poomsae in the girls&#8217; (cadet) category.<br \/>\nThe duo of Shambu Biswakarma and Balo Yama bagged a gold medal in the mix pair event in the boys&#8217; cadet category.<br \/>\nMitet Taku, Bali Kri, Enga Mimi and Osinam Taying, all from SLSA, won a silver medal each in individual events in their respective age and weight categories.<br \/>\nThe trio of Amimi Laa, Hinium Chumchum and Kipa Longbe bagged a silver medal in Group Poomsae in the girls&#8217; sub-junior category.<br \/>\nThe bronze medal winners in individual events were Sirumai Jisiali Kri (cadet U-53 kg), Takam Kamyer (cadet U-45 kg), L Meloni Waii (Sub-junior girls), all from SLSA, and Taba Ane and Tanang Tanyam.<br \/>\nHillang Achung and Kipa Longbe won a bronze medal in the mix pair event in the boys&#8217; sub-junior category, while the trio of Shambu Biswakarma, Kamrang Kamhua and Tadar Takar (SLSA) won a bronze in the group event in boys&#8217; cadet category.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, Sports Director Tadar Appa felicitated the medal winners of the SLSA, and SLSA coaches Suraj Ali and Deepak Gurung for the impressive performance.<br \/>\nSLSA Principal Tabia Chobin, and teachers and staff of the school and the sports department were present during the felicitation programme.<br \/>\nThe state team was led by Suraj Ali, Kayang Darang and Rupa Beyor as coaches, and Anikey Misu and Tadar Tajo as managers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, Mar 5: The state Taekwondo team bagged a rich haul of medals at the just-concluded 35th National Sub-junior Kyorugi &amp; Poomsae Taekwondo Championship and the 4th National Cadet Kyorugi &amp; Poomsae Taekwondo Championship at Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.
