{"id":62408,"date":"2019-03-15T00:23:12","date_gmt":"2019-03-14T18:53:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=62408"},"modified":"2019-03-15T00:23:12","modified_gmt":"2019-03-14T18:53:12","slug":"rahul-to-start-arunachal-election-campaign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/03\/15\/rahul-to-start-arunachal-election-campaign\/","title":{"rendered":"Rahul to start Arunachal election campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Staff Reporter<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>ITANAGAR, Mar 14:<\/strong> All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit the state on 19 March to kick start the Congress&#8217; election campaign in the state.<br \/>\nSpeaking to this daily, Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Takam Sanjoy said that the party will announce the candidates before Rahul&#8217;s arrival.<br \/>\nNames for two seats to the Lok Sabha will be announced first, he said.<br \/>\n&#8220;Names for assembly elections in the 60-seat assembly constituencies will be announced in two phases,&#8221; he added.<br \/>\nAccording to reports, former minister Wanglet Lowangcha and All India Mahila Congress general secretary Jarjum Ete are vying for tickets to east and west Arunachal parliamentary constituencies, respectively.<br \/>\nAdditionally, the AICC has reportedly asked all its former chief ministers and former ministers to contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, and former chief minister Nabam Tuki&#8217;s name has come up for the Arunachal west parliamentary constituency.<br \/>\nEarlier, Sanjoy had said that the Congress in the state is looking to fill up all the 60 assembly and two parliamentary constituencies in the state.<br \/>\nHe had also informed that the party will have a pre-poll alliance with the Peoples&#8217; Party of Arunachal, and talks were on with the Janata Dal (Secular) for the same.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Staff Reporter ITANAGAR, Mar 14: All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit the state on 19 March to kick start the Congress&#8217; election campaign in the state.
