{"id":62578,"date":"2019-03-18T00:57:49","date_gmt":"2019-03-17T19:27:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=62578"},"modified":"2019-03-18T00:57:49","modified_gmt":"2019-03-17T19:27:49","slug":"joint-indo-bangla-white-water-rafting-expedition-flagged-off","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/03\/18\/joint-indo-bangla-white-water-rafting-expedition-flagged-off\/","title":{"rendered":"Joint Indo-Bangla white water rafting expedition flagged off"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>AALO, Mar 17:<\/strong> A joint Indo- Bangladesh white water rafting expedition on Siyum River was flagged off from Tumbin Village under Kaying sub-division by GOC of 56 infantry division Major General Ajai Verma on Sunday.<br \/>\nThe main purpose of the expedition is to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries as well as promote the spirit of adventurism among the youths.<br \/>\nThis expedition team, headed by Lieutenant Colonel BN Jha of Indian Army, includes two officers, a JCO and seven other ranks each from both the nations.<br \/>\nThe three-day expedition from Tumbin Village up to Pangin in Siang district will cover a distance of around 85 km, during which the team would encounter grade- 2 and grade-3 rapids.<br \/>\nThe Along Military Station is coordinating the expedition, which is scheduled to culminate on 18 March.<br \/>\nBrigadier C Dayalan, Commander 5 Infantry Brigade and other dignitaries were also present during the flagging off ceremony.
