{"id":62809,"date":"2019-03-23T00:44:42","date_gmt":"2019-03-22T19:14:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=62809"},"modified":"2019-03-24T00:51:42","modified_gmt":"2019-03-23T19:21:42","slug":"facing-deadline-candidates-rush-to-file-nominations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/03\/23\/facing-deadline-candidates-rush-to-file-nominations\/","title":{"rendered":"Facing deadline, candidates rush to file nominations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, Mar 22:<\/strong> With just a day remaining to file the nomination papers for the assembly and Lok Sabha elections, several candidates set themselves to work on Friday.<br \/>\nThe top heavyweights to file their nominations on Friday included MoS for Home Kiren Rijiju for the Arunachal West parliamentary constituency as BJP candidate, and former chief minister Gegong Apang for the Yingkiong-Tuting assembly seat as JD (S) candidate.<br \/>\nSitting minister Alo Libang has filed his nomination as the BJP candidate for the same constituency.<br \/>\nTesam Pongte filed his nomination for the Changlang North constituency, Phosum Khimhun for Changlang South, and Laisam Simai for Nampong, all on BJP tickets.<br \/>\nJambey Tashi and Jampa Thrinly Kunkhap filed their nominations as BJP and NPP candidate, respectively, for the Lumla assembly constituency, while Tsering Tashi and Thupten Tempa filed their nominations from the BJP and the Congress, respectively, for the Tawang assembly constituency.<br \/>\nThupten Kunphen of the Congress filed his nomination for the Mukto assembly constituency. Chief Minister Pema Khandu is currently the MLA from Mukto.<br \/>\nSitting MLA Tage Taki of the BJP has also filed his nomination for the Ziro-Hapoli assembly constituency.<br \/>\nRumak Jomoh has filed his nomination for Arunachal West parliamentary constituency as an independent candidate.<br \/>\nTumke Bagra (BJP) for Aalo West, Nyamar Karbak (BJP) for Liromoba, Kento Jini (BJP) for Aalo East, Topin Ete (JD-U) for Aalo West, and Yaman Bagra (INC) for Aalo West also filed their nominations on Friday.<br \/>\nBJP candidates Phurpa Tsering (Dirang), TN Thongdok (Kalaktang), Kumsi Sidisow (Thrizino-Buragaon) and Japu Deru (Bomdila-Nafra) also filed their nominations on Friday.<br \/>\nTwo candidates &#8211; DW Kharma and Dongru Siongju &#8211; for Kalaktang and Bomdila, respectively, filed their nominations under the JD (U) banner, whereas Aju Khunjuju filed his nomination for Bomdila on an NPP ticket.<br \/>\nKalo Dususow from Thrizino-Buragaon filed his candidature under the INC. Former minister Tsering Gyurme from the Dirang segment has also filed his nomination under the INC, but without Form A &amp; B.<br \/>\nBJP candidate and sitting MLA Gojen Gadi has filed his nomination for the Basar assembly constituency. Gokar Basar of the NPP has also filed his nomination for the same seat.
