{"id":64726,"date":"2019-04-17T01:18:09","date_gmt":"2019-04-16T19:48:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=64726"},"modified":"2019-04-17T01:18:09","modified_gmt":"2019-04-16T19:48:09","slug":"govt-signs-ceasefire-agreement-with-3-nscn-orgs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/04\/17\/govt-signs-ceasefire-agreement-with-3-nscn-orgs\/","title":{"rendered":"Govt signs ceasefire agreement with 3 NSCN orgs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>NEW DELHI, Apr 16:<\/strong> The Centre on Monday extended the ceasefire agreement by one year with two insurgent groups in Nagaland, while a fresh pact for suspension of operations was signed with another outfit, the home ministry said.<br \/>\nA ceasefire is in operation between the union government and the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Neopao Konyak\/Kitovi) and the National Socialist Council of Nagaland\/Reformation (NSCN\/R).<br \/>\nIt was decided to extend the suspension of operation agreement with the NSCN (NK) and the NSCN (R) for a further period of one year with effect from 28 April this year till 27 April, 2020, a home ministry statement said.<br \/>\nThis was signed on behalf of the central government by home ministry joint secretary Satyendra Garg, and GPRN\/NSCN supervisor Jack Jimomi on behalf of the NSCN (NK), and by Amento Chishi (supervisor) and Toshi Longkumer (secretary) on behalf of the NSCN (R).<br \/>\nMeanwhile, the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (K-Khango) has also entered into a fresh ceasefire agreement with the union government from Monday for a period of one year, the statement said.<br \/>\nThe new ceasefire agreement and revised ceasefire ground rules were signed by Garg and Newell Naga, supervisor and Michael Yeptho, member, on behalf of NSCN (K-Khango).
