{"id":65106,"date":"2019-04-21T00:58:33","date_gmt":"2019-04-20T19:28:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=65106"},"modified":"2019-04-21T00:58:33","modified_gmt":"2019-04-20T19:28:33","slug":"bro-officials-attacked-accused-arrested","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/04\/21\/bro-officials-attacked-accused-arrested\/","title":{"rendered":"BRO officials attacked, accused arrested"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<strong>[ Karda Natam ]<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>DAPORIJO, Apr 20:<\/strong> Two employees of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) suffered injuries, one of them seriously, when a person armed with a dao attacked them in Nacho, in Upper Subansiri district, on 18 April, at around 11 am.<br \/>\nThe alleged accused in the case has been arrested and was brought to the police station here on Saturday evening, according to a source close to the investigation.<br \/>\nWhile Junior Engineer Dhananjay Yadav suffered deep cuts on his hand, Pioneer Raj Narayan Rai escaped from the attack with minor injuries, having jumped into a nearby ditch, said Upper Subansiri SP Keni Bagra.<br \/>\nThe SP said he was informed of the incident at around 9.30 pm on the same day, and that he sent a team of police to the spot the next day to take stock of the situation.<br \/>\nYadav has been evacuated to Dibrugarh, Assam, for further treatment.<br \/>\nThough the actual motive behind the attack is still not known, land compensation issue is alleged to have triggered it.<br \/>\nThe incident might further delay the completion of the Taliha-Nacho road, as the BRO has suspended the construction of the strategically important border road until the situation improves.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, the police have launched an investigation after registering the case.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[ Karda Natam ] DAPORIJO, Apr 20: Two employees of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) suffered injuries, one of them seriously, when a person armed with a dao attacked them in Nacho, in Upper Subansiri district, on 18 April, at around 11 am.
