{"id":65843,"date":"2019-04-30T01:46:33","date_gmt":"2019-04-29T20:16:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=65843"},"modified":"2019-04-30T01:46:33","modified_gmt":"2019-04-29T20:16:33","slug":"kvs-regional-sports-meet-held","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/04\/30\/kvs-regional-sports-meet-held\/","title":{"rendered":"KVS regional sports meet held"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, Apr 29:<\/strong> The 50th regional sports meet of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) was organised at KV No 2 here from 27 to 29 April.<br \/>\nThe sports meet (boys&#8217;) which was held in the U-14, U-17 and U-19 age categories, included badminton, Taekwondo and Judo.<br \/>\nBesides students of the host school, 93 students from various KVs from Tinsukia (Assam) region, accompanied by 19 teachers, participated in the championship, according to a press release from KV No 2 here.<br \/>\nA total of 31 gold, 17 silver and 20 bronze medals were won by the students in various categories.<br \/>\nYashas and Kamre Alam of KV No 2, Itanagar, won a gold medal each in Judo in the U-17 category, while Indrajeet, Ajay, Ritesh and Bishal bagged gold medals in Judo in the U-19 category.<br \/>\nNokdon and Parker Ngomdir bagged gold and silver, respectively, in Taekwondo in the U-17 category.<br \/>\nAll the gold medallists have secured their place in the National Sports Meet.<br \/>\nJayant Baiplawat and Granth Kaushik of the same school won bronze medals in badminton (U-14).<br \/>\nVice Principal KR Meena, who attended the valedictory function here on Monday, spoke about the importance of games and sports in the overall development of students.<br \/>\nITBP DIG Sunil Chandra Mamgain attended the opening ceremony on 27 April.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, Apr 29: The 50th regional sports meet of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) was organised at KV No 2 here from 27 to 29 April.
