{"id":65847,"date":"2019-04-30T01:47:56","date_gmt":"2019-04-29T20:17:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=65847"},"modified":"2019-04-30T01:47:56","modified_gmt":"2019-04-29T20:17:56","slug":"rgu-holds-workshop-on-employability-skills","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/04\/30\/rgu-holds-workshop-on-employability-skills\/","title":{"rendered":"RGU holds workshop on employability skills"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>RONO HILLS, Apr 29:<\/strong> A two-day workshop on &#8216;Employability skills and career counselling&#8217;, organized by the career counselling cell of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) in collaboration with New Delhi-based Career Launcher, began on Monday in the university&#8217;s education department here.<br \/>\nRGU Vice Chancellor Prof Saket Kushwaha highlighted the techniques of achieving excellence in any career, and advised the participants to add degrees of different fields to their educational qualification.<br \/>\n&#8220;Commoners will never get a job and one has to put the self above the minimum basic qualifications,&#8221; he said, emphasizing that anyone seeking a job has to have a strategic plan for that particular job, a good understanding and knowledge of the job, motivate oneself, and change one&#8217;s work ethics and attitude to optimize one&#8217;s abilities.<br \/>\nRGU Registrar Prof Tomo Riba said &#8220;getting a job is an art which requires key skills and training,&#8221; and therefore it is important for the youths to attend such programmes.<br \/>\nRGU placement cell in-charge, Prof Tasi Kaye, stressed the importance of the programme and expressed conviction that the programme would &#8220;mould the minds of the youth towards proper selection of careers.&#8221;<br \/>\nCareer counselling cell coordinator Dr Boa Reena Tok advised the participants to make the best use of the presence of the resource persons and equip themselves with a better understanding of employability and the skill sets required for the purpose.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RONO HILLS, Apr 29: A two-day workshop on &#8216;Employability skills and career counselling&#8217;, organized by the career counselling cell of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) in collaboration with New Delhi-based Career Launcher, began on Monday in the university&#8217;s education department here.
