{"id":66038,"date":"2019-05-03T01:15:16","date_gmt":"2019-05-02T19:45:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=66038"},"modified":"2019-05-03T01:15:16","modified_gmt":"2019-05-02T19:45:16","slug":"take-steps-to-stop-school-dropouts-cs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/05\/03\/take-steps-to-stop-school-dropouts-cs\/","title":{"rendered":"Take steps to stop school dropouts: CS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<strong>ITANAGAR, May 2:<\/strong> Chief Secretary Satya Gopal has called for coming up with ways to stop school dropouts.<br \/>\nHe said this during a meeting with the officials of the education department on 30 April.<br \/>\nStating that stopping dropouts is a major task before the education department, Gopal asked the department to identify the factors behind students dropping out of various levels of school education.<br \/>\n&#8220;The factors behind students dropping out should be identified and accordingly redressed,&#8221; he said.<br \/>\n&#8220;Our objective should be to provide the best education and ensure that we are ahead of the national average under the National Achievement Survey,&#8221; the CS told the members present at the meeting.<br \/>\nHe also said there should not be any discrepancy, and that funds should be spent for the purposes for which they have been granted.<br \/>\nBesides the normal study routine, he said, training in skill development and computer education should be imparted as important parts of school activities.<br \/>\nEducation Secretary Madhu Rani Teotia gave information on the budget granted for various policies and programmes under the education department, as well as the status of the programmes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, May 2: Chief Secretary Satya Gopal has called for coming up with ways to stop school dropouts.
