{"id":66758,"date":"2019-05-11T02:12:19","date_gmt":"2019-05-10T20:42:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=66758"},"modified":"2019-05-11T02:12:19","modified_gmt":"2019-05-10T20:42:19","slug":"apex-bank-advised-to-thrive-in-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/05\/11\/apex-bank-advised-to-thrive-in-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"Apex Bank advised to thrive in competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>NAHARLAGUN, May 10:<\/strong> Finance Secretary YW Ringu on Thursday urged the branch managers and senior officers of the Arunachal Pradesh State Cooperative Apex Bank to &#8220;change their mindset and work hard to sustain in the competitive market.&#8221;<br \/>\nAttending the bank&#8217;s annual review meeting at the Administrative Training Institute here, Ringu urged every employee of the bank to make genuine efforts to gain the trust of the public, &#8220;starting from the grassroots level.&#8221;<br \/>\nShe congratulated the Aalo and the Ziro branches of the Apex Bank for winning awards for the best and the second best branch, respectively.<br \/>\nRingu, however, cautioned the bank regarding the<br \/>\n&#8220;high non-performing assets position despite good amount of recovery,&#8221; and advised the branch managers to conduct capacity-building programmes under the social security scheme, financial inclusion, etc.<br \/>\nCooperative Society Registrar Tai Kaye advised the bank&#8217;s officials to &#8220;maintain work culture and exercise corrective measures on time.&#8221;<br \/>\nHe also emphasized on timely submission of returns for onward submission to the government, the RBI, the NABARD, etc.<br \/>\nNABARD Regional Office General Manager Gopa Kumaran Nair said Arunachal is an agrarian state and has huge potential, &#8220;but the credit input is very low.&#8221;<br \/>\nHe suggested issuing more Kisan Credit Cards to the farmers, and also suggested providing loans for capital formation and availing the NABARD&#8217;s subsidy schemes.<br \/>\nApex Bank Administrator Habung Lampung expressed happiness over &#8220;achieving sustainable positive growth in certain parameters as targeted by the bank,&#8221; and advised the employees to &#8220;work hard for overall improvement.&#8221;<br \/>\nHe also emphasized that, to ensure professionalism in the bank, the staff should qualify the CPCB examination for promotion to higher grades.
