{"id":66807,"date":"2019-05-12T01:35:55","date_gmt":"2019-05-11T20:05:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=66807"},"modified":"2019-05-12T01:35:55","modified_gmt":"2019-05-11T20:05:55","slug":"paralegal-volunteers-trg-conducted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/05\/12\/paralegal-volunteers-trg-conducted\/","title":{"rendered":"Paralegal volunteers&#8217; trg conducted"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<strong>LEKHI, May 11:<\/strong> The Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA) conducted a paralegal volunteers&#8217; (PLV) training programme for the students of the Arunachal Law Academy here in Papum Pare district on Friday.<br \/>\nAPSLSA Member Secretary Budi Habung highlighted the functioning of the state legal services authority and the roles of the PLVs in assisting the people in having access to justice.<br \/>\nHabung also spoke on the general principles of criminal law.<br \/>\nLegal practitioners and experts, including Papum Pare District &amp; Sessions Judge J Chai, advocate Sunil Mow, and APSLSA&#8217;s legal aid counsels Jumgam Jini and Rakhnu Konya attended the training as resource persons.<br \/>\nWhile Chai spoke on the principles and proceedings of civil law, Mow highlighted the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) Act, 2000, and the Amendment Act, 2015, besides sexual abuse and the laws relating to sexual abuse, especially on Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act, 2012.<br \/>\nKonya spoke on marriage registration under the Special Marriage Act, 1954, and the importance and procedure of the Arunachal Pradesh Recording of Marriage Act, 2008.<br \/>\nJini spoke on the NDPS Act and the drug menace in Arunachal.<br \/>\nAround 120 students attended the training.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LEKHI, May 11: The Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA) conducted a paralegal volunteers&#8217; (PLV) training programme for the students of the Arunachal Law Academy here in Papum Pare district on Friday.
