{"id":67990,"date":"2019-05-27T01:23:50","date_gmt":"2019-05-26T19:53:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=67990"},"modified":"2019-05-27T01:23:50","modified_gmt":"2019-05-26T19:53:50","slug":"newspaper-organising-debate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/05\/27\/newspaper-organising-debate\/","title":{"rendered":"Newspaper organising debate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, May 26:<\/strong> The Morung Express, an English daily newspaper published from Nagaland, is organizing its annual debate competition, &#8216;The Morung Debate&#8217;, in two editions, in August and September this year.<br \/>\nThe first edition is tentatively scheduled to be held on 16 August and the second and final edition on 7 September in Dimapur, Nagaland.<br \/>\n&#8220;The purpose of the debate competition is to create a platform for healthy dialogue and competition, where relevant topics on socioeconomic, cultural, political and religious issues will be debated,&#8221; the daily stated.<br \/>\nIt also aims to encourage young people to engage in competitive and healthy dialogue, where they share opinions on issue-based subjects that may impact the social discourse, the daily said.<br \/>\nThe competition is a team-based event and is open to individuals between the ages of 18 and 25 years.<br \/>\nWhile the winning team will receive Rs 50,000, the runner-up will be awarded Rs 30,000.<br \/>\nThere are also prizes for the &#8216;best speaker&#8217; and the &#8216;most promising team&#8217;, and individual certificates will be awarded to all the participants.<br \/>\nBesides cash prizes, there will be a running trophy for the winning team.
