{"id":69343,"date":"2019-06-12T02:34:33","date_gmt":"2019-06-11T21:04:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=69343"},"modified":"2019-06-12T02:34:33","modified_gmt":"2019-06-11T21:04:33","slug":"cs-reviews-project-proposals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/06\/12\/cs-reviews-project-proposals\/","title":{"rendered":"CS reviews project proposals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, Jun 11:<\/strong> Chief Secretary Satya Gopal said priority should be given to &#8220;beneficiary-oriented schemes&#8221; like piggery, water harvesting projects, education and health in the state.<br \/>\nThe CS said this while chairing a meeting here on Tuesday to review the project proposals under the Tribal Sub Plan (Special Central Assistance to Tribal Sub Schemes) and Article 275 (1) of the constitution, under the department of social justice &amp; empowerment and tribal affairs (SJETA).<br \/>\n&#8220;Beneficiary schemes should be given to landless, small, and marginal farmers with the twin objectives of doubling the income of the farmers and self-employment generation,&#8221; Gopal said.<br \/>\nHe suggested including at least one anganwadi centre (in the project proposals) &#8220;in every district, where the anganwadi centres could be developed with modern education facilities for the children.&#8221;<br \/>\nThe committee reviewed all the projects submitted by the planning monitoring committees of 26 districts (including the capital complex). In order to ensure transparency, it was decided that every administrative department would vet the project proposals before further submission.<br \/>\nSJETA Commissioner Gamli Padu, RD Secretary Rinchin Tashi, Agriculture Secretary Mimum Tayeng, Health Secretary Juhi Mukherjee, and SJETA Director Yumlam Taha were present at the meeting.
