{"id":70163,"date":"2019-06-20T01:35:29","date_gmt":"2019-06-19T20:05:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=70163"},"modified":"2019-06-20T01:35:29","modified_gmt":"2019-06-19T20:05:29","slug":"restoration-work-on-tamin-bridge-underway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/06\/20\/restoration-work-on-tamin-bridge-underway\/","title":{"rendered":"Restoration work on Tamin bridge underway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<strong>Staff Reporter <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>ITANAGAR, Jun 19:<\/strong> Restoration work on the Tamin Bailey suspension bridge in Kamle district has begun on a war footing.<br \/>\nThe chord reinforcement of the bridge had broken when a heavily loaded truck had been driven onto the bridge on the midnight of 10 June.<br \/>\nThe district administration has, however, not relaxed the prohibitory order on the permissible weight on the bridge, in view of its weakness.<br \/>\nThe restoration work is being carried out by Itanagar-based private firm Tama Fabrication Works.<br \/>\nKamle DC Moki Loyi along with officials from the PWD on Wednesday inspected the bridge and assessed<br \/>\nthe progress of the restoration work.<br \/>\n&#8220;The chord reinforcement has been replaced, and other works are on in full swing,&#8221; said an official who did not want to be named.
