{"id":73967,"date":"2019-07-30T01:26:34","date_gmt":"2019-07-29T19:56:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=73967"},"modified":"2019-07-30T01:28:11","modified_gmt":"2019-07-29T19:58:11","slug":"trg-on-food-hygiene-under-mdm-imparted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/07\/30\/trg-on-food-hygiene-under-mdm-imparted\/","title":{"rendered":"Trg on food hygiene under MDM imparted"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>KHONSA, Jul 29:<\/strong> As many as 161 cooks-cum-helpers from different government schools participated in a training programme on &#8216;Food hygiene for cook-cum-helper of government schools under the midday meal (MDM) scheme&#8217; conducted here by the Tirap DDSE on Monday.<br \/>\nHighlighting the importance of the training, DDSE Pubi Lombi expressed appreciation for the various schemes in the education department being implemented by the state and the central governments.<br \/>\nHe informed that Chief Minister Pema Khandu has announced enhancement of the honorarium of cooks-cum-helpers from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2000 per month.<br \/>\nMO Dr Sompha Sumpa imparted training on how to prepare hygienic midday meals and serve them to the children. He emphasized on &#8220;stepwise hand-wash with soap before and after food, timely cutting of nails, hairs and moustache, etc, to ensure total hygiene.&#8221;<br \/>\nDr Sumpa also advised the cooks and helpers to keep the kitchen&#8217;s surroundings clean.<br \/>\nFood &amp; Civil Supplies Inspector Chow Khum Insha advocated properly checking the supplied food grains to ensure that the quality of the food items being provided under the MDM is in order.<br \/>\nHe advised the cooks-cum-helpers to keep the food grains in dry and safe places.
