{"id":76471,"date":"2019-08-22T01:27:39","date_gmt":"2019-08-21T19:57:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=76471"},"modified":"2019-08-22T01:27:39","modified_gmt":"2019-08-21T19:57:39","slug":"accused-absconding-after-attempted-rape","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2019\/08\/22\/accused-absconding-after-attempted-rape\/","title":{"rendered":"Accused absconding after attempted rape"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>PASIGHAT, Aug 21:<\/strong> One D Riba, aged about 22 years, has been accused of physically abusing and attempted rape on a 20-year-old girl here in East Siang district.<br \/>\nPolice sources informed that the accused has allegedly attempted rape on the young woman at his brother&#8217;s rented accommodation in Pasighat town on 13 August and has been absconding since.<br \/>\nWhile the accused is still at large, his brother has been booked by the police for harbouring a criminal.<br \/>\nCondemning the crime, the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) informed that it has sought status report of the case from the East Siang superintendent of police and requested for immediate arrest of the accused.<br \/>\nEarlier, the commission had also received a complaint letter from the victim, informing that the accused is still absconding.<br \/>\nAdditionally, the commission has asked concerned authorities to look into the matter seriously,&#8221; as crimes against women and the girl child are increasing day by day.&#8221;<br \/>\nIt also requested everyone to cooperate with the police and support the investigation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PASIGHAT, Aug 21: One D Riba, aged about 22 years, has been accused of physically abusing and attempted rape on a 20-year-old girl here in East Siang district.
